Checklist, Rules & Directions

Race Day Checklist:

Swim

  • Trisuit or swim suit
  • Goggles
  • Wetsuit, if desired
  • Small towel
  • Gym bag to stow gear for transport (or the clear bags we will supply)
  • Swim cap if desired

Bike

  • Bike and bike shoes
  • Water bottle and cage
  • Bike pump for pre-race
  • Portable bike pump or CO2 cartridge and quick fill adaptor, tire tube, tire levers
  • Helmet with chinstrap
  • Eyewear
  • Energy gel or food if desired

Run

  • Running shoes
  • Elastic laces if desired
  • Small towel at bike/run transition if desired
  • Hat or visor
  • Race number

Rules and Regulations

  • Wetsuits are allowed.
  • iPods not allowed.
  • Ride on the right side of the road, traffic will not be diverted so be aware!
  • Drafting is not allowed, but is on the honor system. Please respect others commitment to training. Stay 3 bike lengths back. Pass within 15 seconds and passed rider should drop back to three bike lengths. Pass only on the left of cyclist in front of you, never on the right.
  • Helmets with a closed chinstrap mandatory. Failure to use helmet or snap chinstrap grounds for disqualification
  • Walk/Run in transition areas only – get on or off bike in designated areas.
  • Wear your number so that it can be seen.

DS High School to Farm Pond:

Left out of HS onto Junction
Left at Farm St
Left at Bridge St
Left at Forest St
Right at Goulding (50 ft.)
Right at Lake St

Farm Pond to DS High School:

Right out of FP onto Lake St
Right at Farm Road
Over bridge (Bridge St)
Right at Farm Street
Right at Junction St
Right into HS parking lot

Important: There is NO PARKING at Farm Pond so we have developed an efficient drop-off system for your bike at the swim-bike transition area.
